There are many things that prepare the way of the Lord to bring revival. Desperate, seeking hearts, fasting and prayer are all preliminary things that prepare the ground for a move of God. Timing is key, for there truly are times and seasons when God visits His people. He remembers anniversary dates, and He knows when people have built an altar to worship Him. He knows when a place is ripe for judgment, and when an apportioned window of opportunity for repentance is about to close. He knows when people exibit true repentance for their sin, and have made themselves ready for His visitation. There is something else that we believe is a key to true revival, and that is the importance of forgiveness. Forgiveness is such an important aspect of the gospel of Jesus Christ, that when the pure gospel is preached, God validates it with signs and miracles.

Revival cannot take place if forgiveness doesn't take place. Personal and corporate revival is dependent upon coming into proper alignment with God, and restoration is contingent upon forgiveness. A manifestation of forgiveness is healing of families, relationships, churches and even city leaders, bringing them back into divine order. Forgiveness is the power of revival!

God cannot bless what is aligned with satanic origin. Unforgiveness or the stubborness refusal to forgive, positions an individual in alignment with satan and the kingdom of darkness because it is rooted in pride and rebellion. There is no blessing there - only robbery, ruin, illness, torment, and a curse. Churches wither, marriages succumb to the high statistics of divorce, children are wounded, blessings are withheld, lives ended prematurely, people forsake God; destines, mantles and callings of God are left by the wayside, abandoned. All because they chose not to forgive and bless others. It's time to reverse the curse. God blesses what is aligned with His principles. When we choose to forgive and bless others, God can revive our hearts and is free to bless us. Pride resists doing the right thing, which puts us at odds with God, but humility opens the door to God's visitation. Forgiveness is the key that opens doors to the hearts of others, and forgiveness is the key that opens the door to new opportunities.  Although many times people do not realize that they are bringing spiritual blindness upon themselves by retaining unforgiveness, it also sets up walls of division between them, God, and others. Forgiveness is also the key that opens the door to revelation, insight and understanding.These things are locked away from us until we choose to forgive. There are many things that get pulled into the spiritual dynamics of unforgiveness, and it can open a lot of other doors to the enemy that we simply don't want, and certainly will not benefit us. Humility, forgiveness and love are the only things that will OVERCOME and DISMANTLE the ungodly authority structures of witchcraft, pride and rebellion over our cities!!

Revival occurs when forgiveness is divine, and not worldly. It takes the empowerment and conviction of the Holy Spirit to release those heavy burdens and be set free from the torment and curse that unforgiveness brings. Revival occurs when sorrow and repentance are godly and genuine, not worldly sorrow that is just sorry for getting caught, or sorrow for the state of discouraging conditions in people's lives. Godly sorrow produces true repentance and a permanent change of heart. A change of heart produces transformation in an individual, but it also has a ripple effect that will touch others in a family, church or community.

Revival occurs when God sends people to a particular place in response to what His Spirit is going to do. It's not about being self promoted or sent by man. God sends with purpose. Revival is present when signs and miracles are evident.  It's not just a confession of what you're believing for, but the miracles are real, tangible. It's the power of God that witnesses to the world that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. It's the power and presence of God that transforms live, transforms culture and revolutionizes the world around us. It produces tangible results for a lasting revival!
